*New Family Friendly Calendar -* Because we are a combined District, The District Secretary has compiled a calendar showing Men, Ladies, and Junior District Events on the one calendar. Go to Downloads for a copy. Other new items in the right column below.
The District Sides Competition was played at the Gold Coast from 9th to 12th May. The Bowls Qld website states, "The District Sides Championships is the marquee event on Queensland’s bowling calendar, with all 20 districts going head-to-head in separate men’s and women’s competitions. These teams battle it out, not only for bragging rights, but also for the chance to be crowned Queensland’s top bowling district. The competition is held over four days, with approximately 550 players and team officials attending each year." To see how Cunningham did in this prestige competition, go to News Page.
Congratulations to Ken Evans of Ipswich United Services who has won the Bowls Queensland Club Player of the Year Award for 2011, awarded to individuals who have achieved club and district titles greater than that achieved by their peers. Achievements during the year included winning the State Men's Champion of Champions Singles title.

With approximately 3277 bowlers belonging to Clubs varying from very small like Rathdowney to very large like Ipswich United Services.
