CDBA congratulates State Men's Pairs Winners.........2009
In the final of the Champion of Champions Men's Pairs held at
Bribie Island, Cunningham District Champions, Moorooka pair Bill
Mitilinos and Peter Ward, were successful over Tony Barbeler and Ray
Harmsworth, from Longreach Club in Leichhardt District, with a score of
24 - 13.
This is an amazing accomplishment from two of our local bowlers.
To reach the final, Bill and Peter played three round robin games,
winning against Chinchilla-Condamine (24-9) and Indooroopilly
(22-20), and losing narrowly to Maroochydore Swans (19-18).
